Will mini microphone work with Ipod Touch 3rd gen 8 gig?

I want a microphone to use trufone and saw a black mini one that looked like a pill. Will it work? If not what will?

No it most definitely will not :( that was the only 3ed gen ipod touch model that DID NOT get a hardware upgrade to handle it….so they lowered the price point by $30 instead from last years on it.

Only the newest 32 gb and 64 gb models can use it.
