guitar hero for playstation 2 wont work on new tv?

i had an old box tv, that we used and the guitar hero worked great! no prbs. i got new 37″ LCD HDTV. and it comes on and you can play it but cant hit any notes, the few that are hit, have huge delay. try calabrating it, didnt help much at all. im so up set i just spend all this money to update my tv, and now my game wont work. what am i doing wrong? is there something in settings? any info plz! helppp!

See if your TV has a “Game” mode in the video settings. That mode disables video processing by the TV that can introduce a delay or lag effect when playing rhythm music games.

This article may assist you with getting the in-game calibration correct: http://knol.google.com/k/how-to-calibrate-lag-in-guitar-hero# .

I would also recommend getting a component video cable for your PS2 (if you don’t already use one). The TV may be able to handle the signal better (less processing needed), especially if the game has a progressive video mode option (480p), or a widescreen mode.

Even if the cable doesn’t help with the lag problem, the picture will still look much better on an HDTV. The cables are pretty cheap, this one goes for $9: http://www.amazon.com/Premium-Resolution-Component-Cable-Playstation-3/dp/B0013OM528 .
