Whats the difference between an Amplifier and a Mixer?
An Amp, increases the power to the speakers and does not alter the feed of music or video to increase the sound (volume) while maintaining sound quality and hopefully separation of sound . A mixer will allow music or video to fade in or fade out while allowing another piece of music the fade in. Mixers can also add sounds or instruments to enhance the music or video sound product. A mixer does not create anything, but allow you to mix other sound products with the original sound product.
