New York nightlife – there's still such a thing?
Hello everybody, I'm going to New York with my best friend this summer, we are both from Switzerland. I'm 22, she is 24 I love blues and jazz and saw after reading all these books and movies about New York in the 1920s and 1930s, I was wondering if there are still some of these real, good old-fashioned jazz bars in New York? We do not want to go to clubs where people dance, but a bar where you can have a few drinks and just chat and enjoy the music. Is there such as bars, where she lives the blues or jazz band? And can you recommend me some other nice places we visit (bars, Restaurants, cafes, etc.) could be? We like both places where you can easily hear any chill out, maybe good music, no one in these modern clubs, where they only play hip hop or house and you will get a hearing impairment, after he there for an hour. Thanks guys, any help appreciated.
